349.5 CPM (counts per minute) = 3495 over the course of 10 minutes.

(first test was 250+ CPM over 5 min – not on camera — several more tests over the next few days forthcoming)

By all accounts, 100 CPM is the alert level for “high radiation”. This means we are far over alert levels when it comes to small radioactive particulate matter in the air.

This boldly contradicts my previous findings from cross country measurements.. highest levels cross country were in Colorado @ 80-100 CPM

Method of collection:

electromagnetically charged particle collection plate 30 minute collection (stainless steel) — ionic breeze air purifier collection plate

steel plate wiped with a fresh dry paper towel.. then placed on a clean glass surface.

Geiger counter is the “inspector alert” http://medcom.com/products/inspector-alert

Both paper towel and plate pre-tested for ambient background radioactivity (normal) on video.

I intend to repeat this test several more times as well as tomorrow (nov 19 2011) taking several outdoor measurements across the Saint Louis Missouri area using the same collection method.

It appears that regular geiger counters are NOT picking up even LARGE amounts of particulate radioactive material.. (not talking about hot particles here but particles of actual debris material in the air) it requires a collection apparatus which then allows one to be able to measure a “stationary sample” of the particles— this is done when the particles build up on the collection plate — normally these radioactive particles would float by undetected.

Which is why ALL the geiger counters are returning LOW amounts (except those near fukushima directly).

If you have a magnetic air purifier metal collection plate (like an ionic breeze for instance) and a geiger counter, you can repeat this experiment in your area.

I looked into possible contamination by the ionic breeze.. it produces negative ions..the DUST that im wiping off the plate and removing far enough from the whole device.. is producing a radioactive return.

could the ionic breeze be turning my regular household dust into mini-radioactive particles? Not likely… however I do concede that it is a REMOTE possibility that the ionic breeze is a mini-radiation generator that is slowly killing me with radiation (no one has figured it out until today LOL) .. if that is the case I have a lawsuit against ionic breeze for radiation exposure !

More likely, the particles in the air that I am wiping from the plate are indeed radioactive… actually either way they are radioactive, its just a matter as to WHERE are these particles coming from.

The Dalai Lama braves radiation threat, Interacts with victims

KORIYAMA, November 6: Arriving into Koriyama city in the Japanese prefecture of Fukushima, it is hard for the naked eye to notice any striking difference from the other places that His Holiness the Dalai Lama has been visiting for the last ten days.

But a Geiger counter device, used for detecting radiation, when placed on the ground in the middle of the city just before the Dalai Lama’ s arrival, showed a reading of 2.28 microsievert/hour – a mark, dangerously bordering the radiation level considered hazardous for human life if continuously exposed for a year.

On March 11, following the magnitude 9 earthquake and tsunami, the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Plant, 60 kms from Koriyama, suffered major damage to its cooling system, leading to nuclear radiation leaks.

Over 200,000 people were evacuated from the Fukushima prefecture. Many never returned, while those who did, had their families separated and livelihoods destroyed.

Arriving from the tsunami stricken areas of Sendai, the Dalai Lama told a packed audience at the Nihon University in Koriyama that calm mind, self-confidence and holistic approach during tragic circumstances were essential in confronting problems.

“A good immune system can protect your physical health but if your mental state is disturbed, then even a small problem would seem unbearable,” the Dalai Lama said.

Responding to a concern expressed by a teacher of his students facing emotional distress following the tsunami and radiation threat, His Holiness said that it was always beneficial to “share people’s sufferings”.

“We, being social animal and part of the human society, must use our human intelligence and help those suffering. Always think that you are not alone, the whole humanity is with you.”

Advising the audience, many of whom were uprooted from their native lands by the radiation leak, the Dalai Lama said it was always better to take precaution.

“More natural disasters might come in the future because of global warming, so it is better you move to higher grounds and rebuild your home and family with greater enthusiasm”.

Crediting his late mother for bestowing in him the seed of compassion, the Dalai Lama said that warm heartedness and kindness were the ultimate source of optimism and inner strength.

“The first benefit of genuine compassion goes to the practitioner. Genuine warm-heartedness gives you the self confidence and determination to see things positively and impartially”.

Rubbishing widespread rumours of the world facing its end in the year 2012, the Tibetan spiritual leader said that human kind will continue to live and evolve for thousands of more years.

“Every single person from amongst 7 billion human beings have something to complain. So, don’t worry. Be optimistic”.

Forgotten Radioactive Materials Cropping Up in Wake of Fukushima Nuclear Crisis

Residents wary about radiation in the wake of the ongoing the crisis at the Fukushima No. 1 Nuclear Power Plant have been uncovering abandoned radioactive substances, with repeated discoveries of radium-266 in Tokyo’s Setagaya Ward.

Radioactive materials were used widely in the past, including in medical products and luminous paints. After World War II, a law requiring people to obtain the government’s permission when using such materials was put into effect, but the law was not always strictly abided by. Now, with many residents armed with dosimeters in the wake of the Fukushima crisis, it is possible that more radioactive materials may be uncovered.
